Answer 5 questions to know your chances
Here is a sample of the Indonesian e-visa or e-VOA looks like:
Entering Indonesia before the start date specified on your e-visa is not permitted. The e-visa becomes valid only from the date mentioned on it, and attempting to enter the country before this date can result in a denial of entry by immigration authorities.
Tip: Plan your travel to coincide with the visa’s validity period, ensuring that you arrive on or after the start date specified on the visa.
Yes, the Indonesia e-visa can be used for short-term business trips, including participation in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events. It allows you to conduct business activities while adhering to Indonesian visa regulations. However, it is not valid for long-term employment or taking up a job in Indonesia.
If you plan to work or engage in long-term business activities, you will need to apply for a different visa type, such as a work visa or a business visa with extended validity.
Recommendation: Clearly state the purpose of your visit when applying for the e-visa to ensure it aligns with your intended activities in Indonesia.
If you lose your Indonesia e-visa before travelling, you should immediately access your email or traventureexplorers my profile dashboard where your visa was issued to re-download and print a copy of the e-visa. It is important to have a printed copy with you when you arrive in Indonesia.
In case you cannot retrieve the e-visa, contact the traventureexplorers customer support team.
Overstaying your Indonesia or Bali e-visa can have serious consequences. If you overstay, you may be required to pay a fine of up to IDR 1,000,000 (approximately ₹5,300) per day. The longer you overstay, the higher the total fine will be. In addition to the financial penalty, you may face the following legal consequences:
Detention: You could be detained by Indonesian immigration authorities until the issue is resolved.
Deportation: You may be deported from Indonesia at your own expense, which could involve being banned from re-entering the country in the future.
Travel ban: A history of overstaying can result in a ban from future travel to Indonesia, as well as complications when applying for visas to other countries.
Recommendation: If you need to stay in Indonesia longer than your visa allows, apply for an extension before your visa expires. This will help you avoid fines and other legal issues. If you realize you have overstayed, report to the nearest immigration office immediately to address the situation.
